My creative process for this edit was a bit different than my last few personal videos I have made. As noted within the video, this movie spoke to me, so instead of some flashy, vibrant edit, I wanted something simple. The story-telling was supposed to be the main focus, and I feel my edit accomplished that in a succinct and polished way.

I relied heavily on the beautiful visuals the film provides, because outside of telling my story, I created this in an effort to entice the viewers to watch the movie for themselves. Due to using this wonderful cinematography, I was able to successfully create the video with only a few outside visuals along with some simple text on screen.

Editing to music is always a big focus of my videos. While typically punchier music is better to edit to, I feel I still accomplished what I wanted with something a bit more relaxed. The slower pace of the music allows for a move flowing feel to the edit, despite the hard cut transitions. I always aim to sync the music with the visuals, as well as the narrative, and I feel I accomplished that here.

Overall I think this video shows off my strength as a story teller, as well as my ability to create a clean, smooth, and simple edit.
